Notes: The address given, 1640 Park Place, Bklyn (Brooklyn) NY, was just a few doors down from the appartment of my maternal grandparents. Though they were known to have been fully observant, there's no record of their attendance at any particular synagogue, nor involvement with any Wysokie Landsmanshaft. Did they attend Kehilat Tiferet Israel? Socialize with the Gevirtzmans or Levines, whom my grandmother might well have known from the Old Country? Unknown. --HN
