This group was named after hero Yosef Trumpeldor, an early Zionist activist and hero of Israel.

Notes: This photo also appears in the Esther Kaplan Album. The white tile visible in the background at right is typical of the standard furnace/stove found in most pre-war homes in the region. Such stoves may still be seen in old houses, today. The date is inscribed on the white tablecloth in a unique graphic way: First two digits of the year, 19, on the left and the two last digits, 25, on the right and in between : 30/V . Shimon Kessler has been identified as 8th from the right.
