In the book Zichron B’Sefer published by the Ezrat Torah Institute in the U.S., N.Y. 1922, on pages 153-154 there is a letter of thanks from Meir Maris Izrel [איזרעל] of Visoka D’Lita for financial aid he received from the association that, he says, saved him from dying of hunger. The date of the letter is July 7, 1920.
