A biography of Kopel appears in Hebrew in the Encyclopedia of the Builders and Founders of Israel, Volume 8, Page 3165. English translation:

After all the representatives of the Haredim announced formally that following the attitude of their electors they will not be able to participate in the second general session of the elected assembly, we received – to our surprise –a second invitation to attend this second general session.
We, therefore, announce that we will not take any part in this second session and we totally disregard all its decisions.
